Senior Land Surveyor – Bicester

Our Geomatics team is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Land Surveyor to join and support our innovative approach to delivering excellence to our clients.
As a Senior Land Surveyor you will:
- manage projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships and taking ownership of the standard of work
- travel to a variety of sites across the country to undertake surveys, collect data and set out works on behalf of DM and their clients, using Total Station, Laser Scanning, handheld GNSS, and Electromagnetic Location equipment
- produce maps and plans in support of a wide range of fast paced projects, on time and within budget to maintain company standard
- work in collaboration with the team, obtain, manage and analyse data from range of sources including the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency, Local Authorities and Utility companies to best inform our advice and service to clients
- accurately assess the time requirements of a job and be confident in advising clients and surveyors
- be responsible in the maintenance and calibration procedures of the survey equipment and organisational policies and requirements
- support the development of more junior members of staff by line managing, providing feedback and conducting their progress reviews
- undertake team and general business development, using your knowledge and skills to suggest ideas for improvement
- be commercially aware, maintain good records and requests to provide regular client updates and ensure accurate billing
The successful candidate will:
- be confident communicating with stakeholders of all levels
- be competent in using Microsoft suite
- have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, be results-driven and a keen problem solver
- have the ability to manage a large amount of both quantitative and qualitative data
- have a RICS or TSA qualification (desirable but not essential)
- have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations
