John joined Dalcour Maclaren in April 2018 from Cluttons where he worked for 21 years.

John was Managing Partner of Cluttons from 2012 and managed the UK and international business with annual revenues of over £50 million and c.650 staff.

Whilst MP, John re-branded the firm, significantly expanded its international platform, built a global FM business from scratch and launched its ambition to become the real estate company that achieves the highest levels of client satisfaction. John was also previously Head of the Telecoms, Corporate Services and Commercial Divisions at Cluttons.

In 1996 John formed a dedicated telecoms real estate team which became the lead agent in the sector and supported the growth of some of the most forward-thinking companies in the UK and abroad.

During a 26-year career, John has consistently placed innovation and creativity at the center of everything he has done. He developed bespoke IT technology for telecoms companies and secured ground breaking business rates settlements to reflect network consolidation in the mobile industry.

John is delighted to have joined such a progressive and successful company and will be helping the business to expand from its core utilities work (which will remain its focus) into related sectors such as telecoms and into new service lines including business rates.

John is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and currently a member of CEO Telecoms (Rating) Working Party. He has also played a major role on the RICS Telecoms Forum Board.

John is married to Helaine and has two sons, Conor and Jack. He loves all sport and enjoys walking his dogs on the South Downs.
