Head of Facilities and Compliance

Due to impressive continuous year on year growth and ambitious future business goals, we are looking to appoint a Head of Facilities and Compliance to oversee the delivery of both the Facilities and Compliance workstreams with accountability for the successful execution of their associated business plans.
This position will be vital in ensuring that DM continues to operate in line with policies and procedures, whilst always reviewing and refreshing the ways in which we work to retain our status as an industry leader in our field, and attractive to both external clients and internal employees.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Facilities and Compliance lead, with strong skills around capacity modelling and data analysis, ideally bringing with them experience from an organisation which has experienced significant growth.
As the Head of Facilities and Compliance you will:
Lead continuous improvement of Operations service excellence:
- Maximise resilience of all aspects of Operations service delivery through strategic resource, skills optimisation, and transparent processes
- Excellent financial management ensuring effective budgetary control is managed and value for money is always obtained.
- Oversee and provide targeted support for issue resolution
- Maintain consistent approaches to task management and continuously prioritise to ensure alignment of time usage with strategic value
People management and development:
- Lead groups throughout the business appointed to support in delivery of your key goals including environmental and office lead teams.
- Be an ambassador of DM’s values and actively promote these to team members and colleagues
- Demonstrate and advocate for the DM way of managing people
Enable sustainable growth:
- Oversee the continuous review of policies and management systems to ensure DM remains compliant with current and future client and legal/regulatory requirements
- Oversee and ensure successful retention of existing accreditations (including ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001, 50001, and Achilles, SafeContractor etc.) and gain new accreditations as required
- Oversee and ensure completion of risk remediation and conformance initiatives
- Support the timely completion of tenders for new work requiring Operations input
- Independently identify and champion new Operational value-add opportunities through business cases, proposal generation and presentation
Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships:
- Build relationships with senior leaders to create valuable collateral, trust and continuous alignment on the evolving Operations strategy
- Build constructive, transparent relationships with external service providers, avoiding contractual approaches wherever necessary, in line with DM’s values
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experienced in build, fit-out and dilapidations project management
- Knowledge and experience of ISO standards and regulatory and emissions reporting requirements are desirable
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Excel for capacity modelling and data analysis is essential
- Excellent people management skills and experience managing a broad range of stakeholders
- Degree-level education is preferred but not essential
- A positive, can-do attitude with an eagerness to develop and learn new skills
- Willingness to collaborate with a range of departments and SME’s of varying technical ability on projects
- Exceptional communication skills to listen to, question and discuss requirements in an internal client facing position.
- Must possess the ability to simplify and communicate technical information to non-technical team members
- Ability to thrive in a high-performing team environment, contributing to a great working atmosphere and constantly challenging the norm to find new opportunities
