Liaison Support Officer

Our Telecoms Team is circa 30 people strong, spread across 5 offices in the UK, including our close-knit team in Bristol. We work on behalf of a variety of corporate clients, delivering advice on mobile and fibre networks.
Our fibre networks service offering saw vast growth in 2021-2022, and we are now looking for a Liaison Support Officer to join our market-leading Telecoms Team to negotiate Wayleave Agreements. Helping to facilitate the roll out of Government and Local Authority Fibre to the Premiss’s projects to future-proof some of the most rural communities across the UK. You will work within a dynamic and well-established team and benefit from being part of our invaluable Training Academy. You will receive regular advice on progression and ongoing support, to enable you to develop your career for the long-term with us here at Dalcour Maclaren.
As a Liaison Support Officer you will:
- Be the main interface between the client and landowners, occupiers and agents on a day-to-day basis and build key relationships with the affected parties.
- Share insightful knowledge about agricultural practices
- Keep the client up to date and advise them on practical matters affecting land
- Attend pre-entry meetings before the scheme enters the construction phase
- Review contractor works to ensure they fall in line with any agreements made during pre-entry meetings
- Deal with landowner complaints regarding on-site activities
- Arrange site visits for serving notices, undertaking record of conditions and undertaking site meetings
- Complete land referencing, including finding owners and occupiers of land
- Assist the team and settle compensation claims
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent communicator with the willingness to learn and develop
- Have an awareness of agriculture and rural affairs
- Are self-motivated and organised
- Have a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel
- Be a great team player and have a can-do attitude
Please note: The office location is Bristol, but the work is based in and around Tavistock in the South West, so the ideal candidate will live equidistant from both areas (Somerset region). You will likely spend 75% out on site, and the other 25% office-based.
