This week, our office in Scotch Corner celebrates its first birthday! Opening in lockdown meant that there was no grand launch event with fireworks and fire-breathing stilt walkers (like other DM office openings!). But one year on, and with a team that has grown from 2 to 10 people, the team is ‘on-fire’ with plenty of tender wins, new work and more recruits on the way!
The office is in the picturesque North Yorkshire countryside, in a converted farm building, yet is within an arm’s reach of Teesside where we are supporting the green energy revolution with projects involving offshore wind, CCUS and electricity transmission.
Josh Peat joined the team in July 2020. On making the move to Dalcour Maclaren, he says: “It was a fantastic decision – I got stuck into some of the largest UK infrastructure projects from day one. I’ve had great support from Jacqui and the wider team at DM. It’s fresh territory for me, but we are making a real difference and a real contribution to the energy transition and I’m proud to be a part of it."
As we look ahead to 2022, we will continue to extend our reach north and expect to see a strong alliance between our Scotch Corner, Wetherby and Scotland teams.
