Dalcour Maclaren has a reputation for ‘getting the job done’ and our plans to offer our services in Scotland are progressing at speed.

We have established our new office in Stirling and are really excited to announce that Sam West will be heading up our Scottish office with immediate effect. His combined passion for utilities, client care and the great Scottish outdoors (not necessarily in that order!) makes him the perfect candidate to ensure that our latest venture is a real success!

Sam is a longstanding DM team member, having joined us over 7 years ago. He has since climbed the ladder at pace with a reputation for bringing teams together to provide exceptional service to multiple utility clients and so his relocation to Scotland is a win-win for our clients, Sam (and his new fiancée) and DM!

Sam’s experience in dealing with large scale projects will be a huge asset to DM in Scotland, as we look to increase our involvement with significant infrastructure projects, focussing on renewable energy including wind and hydro schemes, which we are already so well-known for, and extending into new frameworks and of course, hydrogen projects.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be representing DM in Scotland and leading the new office based in Stirling. The utilities and infrastructure opportunities here are really exciting, especially with the collective efforts needed to reach Net Zero. I am looking forward to building on the successes DM has shared with our existing clients and forging relationships with new clients to support their projects across Scotland.

I am expecting lots of growth in the new office and I am particularly excited about engaging with and helping to develop new entrants starting their journey in our industry."

Sam will be joined in Stirling with other Scottish members of the DM team who have jumped at the opportunity to relocate back north, and together they are already busy getting stuck into new work and working to expand our reach to new clients and projects across the country.

Whilst the venture is developing so rapidly, we also continue our search for new team members at all levels who share our values and want to be part of this next exciting chapter for DM as we look to support the energy transition across Scotland but also apply our wealth of experience to the water, telecoms and transport sectors.

Our reputation is built on both our expertise but also our USP of acting exclusively for the utilities and infrastructure sector and we believe this offering will be of real advantage to both new and existing Scottish clients. The opportunities that lie ahead for us in Scotland are vast and so watch this space for more updates!
