#DMGraduates – Amy Heffter

Can you tell us when you started here at DM, what University you went to and what you studied? 

I started at the beginning of September, before that I was at the University of Birmingham studying geography.

What did you know about DM before you applied for a graduate job here?  

Before applying for a job at Dalcour Maclaren I had only heard of them through my university. I had to do a lot of research into what DM does, the kind of projects they are involved with and what they could offer me in terms of graduate schemes – and decided to apply for a job.

What was the application process like? 

At the start of the application process, I found that all the staff I contacted were extremely helpful in answering any questions I had and what was best for me to apply for.

After going through the different stages of the assessment centre, having a one-to-one interview, a group task and lunch, where you could speak to lots of people who were in the different departments, I was able to pinpoint what I wanted to get involved in and what was possible.
