As well as bringing DM closer to the hub of offshore wind in the UK, Ed and the now 11-strong team in the East Midlands office have massively strengthened our presence in the North and as such have had a significant impact on the growth of the business.
Ed joined Dalcour Maclaren as a graduate surveyor in 2012 after graduating from Harper Adams University and spending 2 years at another firm who also specialised in the utilities and infrastructure sector. He was the seventh person to join the then Newcastle-under-Lyme, which is now the Crewe office, working primarily on Water and Power projects.
After passing his APC with DM, Ed has worked his way up the ranks, including a 9-month secondment in Kent where he supported two large water framework clients. He is now using his experience to manage multiple Power projects from our East Midlands office and provides strategic advice to both Power and Water contracts.
As well as bringing DM closer to the hub of offshore wind in the UK, Ed and the now 11-strong team in the East Midlands office have massively strengthened our presence in the North and as such have had a significant impact on the growth of the business.
Ed is a great example of a surveyor who has come in at graduate level, and has jumped on board with the importance of sustainability within the industry, in order to drive these forward-thinking client and projects forward, getting stakeholders on board with the schemes along the way and becoming an expert in his field!
“It makes me very proud to be part of a company which continues to grow and succeed. DM are really changing the face of the utility and infrastructure sector, with great people as well as innovative ideas and cutting-edge technology. Setting up the East Midlands office was a great day, but being part if its success and watching the team there develop and grow is far more impressive.”
