Delivering innovative tech solutions for land referencing and land assembly

Expansion and redevelopment of any airport is going to require both the repurposing and acquisition of land, as well as technical expertise in land assembly and land referencing. The impact on existing operational estate is significant with quick risk identification and mitigation strategies needed throughout.

A project of this scale needs a consultancy that is prepared to spend time with key stakeholders and project partners to understand the programme and deliverables. DM invests in its people, not only in their technical knowledge but also in engagement expertise. We co-locate into our clients’ offices so we can take a hands-on approach.

Our teams are always multi-faceted, and we can offer a single point of contact for all of our areas of expertise, guaranteeing that we deliver as ONETEAM.

Working with London Gatwick, the only way to deliver the project was with a DM ONETEAM approach. And, with the support of innovative tech solutions, our team made light work of the DCO deliverables, which included the colossal Book of Reference with more than 29,000 interests.

Scale of stakeholders

Although all Development Consent Orders (DCOs) have procedural similarities, with Airports there are often considerable additional considerations including the significant number of stakeholders impacted and the recognition that many of the stakeholders are also key partners to the business.

Having the DM team proved invaluable covering both land referencing and landowner engagement. They integrated seamlessly into the Project and delivered a first-class service. Professional, calm and great attention to detail.
