Digital infrastructure

Supporting the Mobile Telecoms, Fixed Wireless, Fibre, Shared Infrastructure, Small Cell, Digital Advertising and Data Centre industries, driving continuous improvement in delivery and client experience

Telecoms projects can get mired in complex land, environmental and planning challenges. Your digital infrastructure project needs an integrated and expert team who work together to deliver faster. That's where you need DM. We’ve built a reputation for positive results in the most challenging of environments across the UK and Ireland

At Dalcour Maclaren we offer our Digital Infrastructure clients something different. We draw on the experiences and contacts obtained working on national Energy, Transport and Water projects to enhance our delivery models. We challenge the norm and drive improvement across the sector.

We deliver a full suite of services from site acquisition and estate management to all aspects of Town & Country planning and heritage, archaeological and ecological surveys, supported by our Geomatics and Stakeholder Engagement teams. Through our extensive partner network, we can deliver full design and construction services.

DM offers a bespoke service partnership providing end‑to‑end support for the following sectors:

Mobile infrastructure clients choose us for land acquisition, estate management and Town & Country planning services.
Fibre clients come to us for expert wayleave, planning and negotiation services.
Digital advertising clients are supported with site surveys, design and Town & Country planning.
Small cell clients request site survey and Town & Country planning services.

Our expertise

We offer specialist surveyors trained in the Electronic Communication Code (ECC), and who are RICS-accredited expert witnesses and arbiters. As a partner of The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP), we support its aims to shape the future of global connectivity.

The Digital Infrastructure team encompasses dedicated and experienced telecoms Town & Country planners who will advise on strategies for engaging with local planning authorities and submit planning applications and consents.

Using their professional training and experience working in our other sectors, our Liaison Officers are able to mediate with, to find win-win solutions for client and landowner alike. Successful utilisation of these teams, which is often reliant on long-standing relationships, allows DM to gain access to land or sites where others have failed.

With 19 offices across the whole of the UK and Ireland, we have a DM team close to your site, both in rural and urban areas.

"When you’re working with the UK’s largest energy and transmission operators, precision and pace aren’t optional - they’re expected.

Transferring the skills we have obtained in other sectors allows us to unite land, planning and geospatial expertise to deliver fast and without compromise through our dedicated Digital Infrastructure teams.”
