Our Cardiff office is led by Sean Taylor MRTPI, Technical Director in the Environment and Planning (E&P) team.
Sean is a highly experienced Chartered Town Planner with more than 25 years’ experience in delivering major infrastructure and development projects.
He provides strategic leadership on complex consenting regimes, including DCO and DNS, advising on project feasibility, risk, and delivery across large-scale energy, utilities, and residential schemes. Sean has led nationally significant grid and renewable energy projects, including high-capacity solar and battery storage developments and major electricity connection infrastructure.
A former Executive Committee Member of RTPI Wales, Sean brings both technical expertise and professional leadership, with a strong emphasis on delivering efficient, policy-compliant, and commercially robust outcomes.
Associate Surveyor at DM, Amelia Gallop, is a committee member of the Pipeline Industries Guild (PIG) Wales and West Branch and serves as the Professional Development Network (PDN) representative for the region, supporting early‑career professionals across the region.
The Guild provides a valuable platform for learning, collaboration and networking with clients, contractors and consultants alike, helping to strengthen professional relationships within the pipeline and utilities sector.
Through my committee involvement and Dalcour Maclaren’s sponsorship of the recent Wales and West Branch PDN Paper Competition, I am proud to support initiatives that encourage technical development, knowledge sharing and confidence‑building among emerging professionals.
Amelia works across a wide range of infrastructure projects across Wales, including work for renewable energy and electricity clients. Currently, she is working on a new substation scheme on behalf of National Grid in South West Wales.
