GRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Our Dalcour Maclaren Graduate Scheme is designed to give you hands-on experience and build your skills across key disciplines while supporting your professional growth. Where you'll get:

We offer three programmes:

Surveying

  • Build technical skills for complex infrastructure projects.
  • Work towards AssocRICS or MRICS.

Geomatics

  • Develop GIS, CAD, land referencing and surveying expertise.

APPRENTICESHIPS

Our Dalcour Maclaren Apprenticeship programmes are a brilliant way to build your career while gaining a professional qualification by combining real-world experience with university study.

You'll work on high-impact projects while developing key skills in leadership, commercial awareness and professional practice – all with support from a dedicated team.

How it works:

  • Programmes typically run for five year.
  • Study is either 1 day a week or 1 week a month, depending on the university
  • We cover tuition fees, travel, accommodation and food where applicable

WORK PLACEMENTS

Our placements give you hands-on experience and a clear sense of what your career could look like at Dalcour Maclaren:

What to expect:

  • Get involved with real projects in surveying, planning, geomatics, ecology, and archaeology
  • Build valuable skills including communication, attention to detail, and critical thinking
  • Be part of a welcoming, collaborative and supportive team

Placement payments

  • Sandwich year placements (usually 12 months) are paid at the Real Living Wage
  • Shorter placements may be paid, depending on the candidate and role

Who can apply 

Placements are currently open to students studying relevant degrees within: 

  • Land & Property – Real Estate, Rural Enterprise & Land Management, Property Development, Spatial Planning, Farm Management, Property Finance & Investment.
  • Environment & Planning – Urban Planning, Architecture, Town Planning, Environmental Impact Assessment & Management, Infrastructure Planning & Sustainable Development.
  • Geomatics – Geography, GIS, Geology, Geospatial Surveying, Surveying & Mapping Sciences, Law.
