DM shines with six National Grid Awards

28 October, 2025

We’re pleased to announce we’ve been recognised as the standout supplier at the prestigious National Grid Land Rights and Referencing Framework Annual Supplier Awards, winning six out of the twelve awards presented at the ceremony.

National Grid organises the awards to celebrate outstanding delivery and innovation across its supply chain.

“To walk away with half of the awards on the day is an incredible achievement. This is a reflection of the talent, commitment and collaborative spirit of our teams across the country. I’m particularly proud of the recognition for our diversity initiative, as we believe bringing in new voices and ideas is vital for the future of the sector.”

The event took place at Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum on Wednesday 15 October, and brought together five of National Grid’s key suppliers involved with its Land Rights and Referencing framework and recognising exceptional performance and innovation across multiple categories.

We are immensely proud to have won the following awards:

Make it Happen – Project under £100k (Margam substation extension)

Make it Happen – Project between £100k and £1m (East Claydon substation)

Find a Better Way – Best Stakeholder Experience (400kV Overhead Line Urgent Access)

Find a Better Way – Best Collaborative Project (Grimsby to Walpole overhead line)

Do the Right Thing – Best Diversity Initiative - recognising our commitment to attracting a diverse range of graduates into the energy sector, an area that we have invested in heavily to bring fresh perspectives and skills into the industry.

Best Overall Support (Individual) – awarded to Dominic Rees, Associate Director at Dalcour Maclaren.

Winning these six awards solidifies our position as a trusted partner, delivering complex projects with high levels of collaboration and stakeholder engagement. This achievement follows a period of sustained growth for DM as we continue to support many major UK and Ireland energy infrastructure projects.

"I am delighted that DM’s hard work and dedication has been celebrated by National Grid. As a team, we work tirelessly to deliver results across National Grid’s workbook with our ONETEAM spirit. These awards are a testament to the team’s efforts.

On a personal note, it is an honour to receive an individual award and be recognised for the work I undertake on behalf of National Grid. National Grid has ambitious targets, and I enjoy contributing towards these."
