The crucial link between our clients (utilities, energy, transport) and landowners
Help safeguard our countryside and support farmers while supporting the UK's energy goals
Our Agricultural Liaison Officers engage early and proactively, working with our surveyors to secure the consents required to keep projects moving. The role is key in keeping landowners, farmers, tenants and agents informed and giving clear, practical advice at every stage.
We provide training for the role, we just need your agricultural knowledge and great communication skills. From identifying land interests and resolving on-the-ground issues to managing site access, records of condition and ensuring contractors abide to agreements, you ensure nothing is left to chance.
Working closely with project teams, often on-site, you balance progress with care - addressing concerns, supporting compensation discussions, and maintaining accurate records that underpin delivery. With a focus on timelines, collaboration and continuous development, you help drive projects forward while strengthening the relationships that make them possible.
With jobs across the UK, your new career starts here. See our jobs board for an Agricultural Liaison Officer role local to you.
ALOs proactively address concerns and maintain trust. They de-risk land access issues, support project delivery, and uphold the client’s reputation within the rural community. This makes them indispensable to successful infrastructure projects.
We offer training and the opportunity for professional qualifications with the Society of Agriculture. This will give you the confidence and expertise needed to understand and meet the changing needs of modern agriculture.
"Success is about the growth of all the liaison and consents officers within DM, and how we continue to open up doors with clients."
