Welcoming Pete Whipp as new Managing Director
22 January 2026As we begin a new year at Dalcour Maclaren, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Pete Whipp as our new Managing Director.
Pete has nearly 20 years of experience managing multidisciplinary environmental teams and providing solutions for clients. He previously worked at RSK Group for 15 years in senior leadership positions, including Managing Director and Operations Director of the environmental department.
“I am thrilled to welcome Pete as our new Managing Director to the DM team. Pete will bring some fantastic leadership skills to DM as well as a huge amount of experience in our industry. This is a key appointment in our ambitious growth plans, and we know Pete will strengthen our People-focused ONETEAM culture. We are building a super strong team for the future, and Pete is a perfect fit to help us with our exciting plans.”
Pete is an environmental professional and project director with extensive experience in major UK infrastructure projects, including Crossrail and HS2.
At RSK, Pete was part of the leadership team responsible for the Environment & Planning Division, overseeing around 1,400 staff across various disciplines, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), planning, environmental management, audit, carbon and sustainability, health, ecology, archaeology, landscape, transport planning, noise, air quality, and stakeholder communications.
Pete holds an MSc in Risk Management and has achieved Chartered status with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
“Having spent most of my career working alongside developers, engineers and planners on complex infrastructure projects, I know how important it is to balance delivery, environmental responsibility, and stakeholder expectations. Dalcour Maclaren has a strong reputation for doing exactly that, and I’m looking forward to building on this alongside a highly experienced team, while continuing to put clients and landowners at the heart of everything we do.”
In addition, DM’s former Managing Director, Andrew Barker, has transitioned to the role of Chief Client Officer, where he will lead our Client Experience strategy. This is a key area for DM with the opportunity to drive initiatives that deepen client relationships and enhance DM’s client-centric approach in delivering a truly world-class service.
